The Maryland Society of Accountants has presented a follow designation since
1994 and each year thereafter.
This annual designation is a prestigious means by which you can convey your
commitment to continuing professional education. The Fellow designation
is designed for those individuals whose dedication to professional excellence is
at the highest level and is manifested through the Maryland Society of
Accountants educational programs. The designation, presented on a handsome
certificate, is meant to convey to clients and the public a standard of
professionalism through education that far exceeds any regulatory compliance
requirement.
2003 brought the inauguration of the "10 year" seal for the Fellow
certificate. We have continued this program. Those who have been a
"Fellow" for ten years receive a new certificate with the "10 year" seal
affixed. In addition, those who receive the 10 year Fellow designation
will receive a "10 year" plaque. These plaques will be awarded to the
recipients in the Spring of each year.
The Maryland Society of Accountants presents an extensive and diversified
educational program that is geared to the practical needs of our profession.
Each year our members and other are presented with ongoing opportunities to
improve themselves through our practical educational programs.
In 2008-2009 the Maryland Society of Accountants will present more than 150
credit hours of continuing professional education. Cumulative records will
be kept on each of our attendees. Those that total 60 or more hours of
educational credits will be awarded the designation of Maryland Society of
Accountants Fellow 2009 (MSAF 2009).
We look forward to your participation in
this outstanding program. We anticipate that the program will gain
popularity and recognition through the acceptance of the designation MSAF by the
profession and the public we serve. The day will soon arrive when the
terms "professional excellence" and "MSAF" will be synonymous.
