MSA Scholarship Information

The Maryland Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation, Inc. was established to provide scholarships to promising undergraduate students majoring in accounting. |
NEW APPLICANTS MUST: |
| Be a Maryland resident enrolled in an accredited Maryland University, College or Community College. |
| Have successfully completed Accounting Principles I and II, with a grade of "B" or better |
| Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in both accounting and overall |
| Be enrolled in a program with a major in accounting leading to a degree or certificate |
| Prepare a 250 word essay |
| Attend the annual scholarship reception in Annapolis, MD in January |
| Each fall the Foundation awards annual scholarships in the amount of $2000 for full-time students, and $1,000 for part-time students (not to exceed $8,000 per recipient) |
| Each scholarship must complete an on-line application by August 15th |
| The second installment is dependent on the recipient submitting a fall transcript by January 15th which shows they have maintained the required academic performance |
